A Poem of Christmas Hope for EVERY Day
by: Lisa O. Engelhardt
Your heart, your life, your very self,
your humble offering...
Lay it in the manger
which holds the Infant King.
Your prayer for peace on Earth,
that war and hate might cease...
Lay it in the manger
where sleeps the Prince of Peace.
Any ache or anguish,
your spirit's darkest night...
Lay it in the manger
where lies the Lord of Light.
Now Heaven and Earth,
God and man
are once reconciled...
For lying in the manger
is God's Son, the Savior Child.
